    Overview

The SG10A-AGON-G2M-A1

adapter allows up to eight cameras to be connected to the Jetson AGX Orin/Xavier module, which is fully compatible with the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin/Xavier development kit. Since there are many different types of GMSL cameras available, the adapter can be adapted to work on different frequencies through software configuration compatible with both GMSL1 and GMSL2 protocol interfaces.

The GMSL camera is powered by PoC (Power over Coax), so all data, control signals and power are sent via a single 50 ohm coaxial cable, which makes the camera's cable routing flexible and easy to install in automotive applications.

Because the 120Pin connector on the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin/Xavier development kit does not provide the required voltage for the camera, the adapter board has a hot-swappable 12V power external connector.

• Supports up to 10 GMSL cameras

  Supports up to 4 channel 8MP YUV Stereo Camera，or 6 channel 8MP YUV camera

• Support synchronous trigger

  Supports external trigger signals to achieve camera synchronization

• The maximum transmission distance of the camera is 15 meters

  By using the GMSL protocol camera, it can support the long distance stable and reliable transmission of the camera, the longest distance supports 15 meters, which can be extended by using the Sensing Repeater

  
  

  
  

      Instructions for using the adapter plate

The driver package for the SG10A-AGON-G2M-A1

adapter board is developed on a specific Jetson Linux version and you need to make sure the Jetson Linux version matches before installing the driver. If it does not match, you need to re-flash the system, otherwise the system will not boot after installing the driver. NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin/Xavier supports two types of flashes using SDK Manager and Flash.sh script.

Preparation required:

• Computer with Ubuntu 18.04/20.04
